Yola Market Bomb: Adamawa govt. bans viewing centres

Following the recent bomb blast that claimed 35 lives in Jimeta, Yola, the Adamawa Government on Wednesday announced a ban on the operation of all public viewing centres in the state.
In a statement, the state police spokesperson, Othman Abubakar, said the ban was with immediate effect and for an initial period of one month.
He said the measure was due to the “unfortunate recent bomb blast in Yola,” adding that the directive was issued by Governor Muhammadu Jibrillah.
Mr. Abubakar warned against flouting the order, and advised members of the public to avoid crowded places and report suspicious persons to security agents. (NAN)
