Wike to complete law Faculty Building at the RSUST




Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has announced that he will complete the Law Faculty building of the Rivers State University of Science and Techonology, RSUST.
He spoke on Tuesday at the Government House, Port Harcourt when he received in audience the Academic Staff of the Faculty of Law of the RSUST.
The governor who is an alumnus of the University said that he will work to making the faculty a centre of excellence in the country.

He urged academics to immune themselves from partisan politics, so that they can groom future leaders for the society.
Nyesom Wike advised the Law Faculty to weed out lecturers with questionable character. He said such lecturers with criminal records standing against them will be bad role models to their students.

He said : "I will complete the Law Faculty building of the Rivers State University of Science and Techonology. I will also take measures to improve the learning facilities of the Faculty.
"The Faculty should take steps to weed out political lecturers, as they will serve as negative influence on future lawyers ".
Earlier, the Dean, Faculty of Law of RSUST, Prof Nlerum Okogbule presented an award of recognition for his contributions to the development of the society.
He described Wike as a worthy ambassador of the Faculty who has promoted the name of the school. He urged the governor to assist the institution to resolve her major challenges.
