THE KILLING OF ANGLICAN REVEREND THREATEN COMMUNAL CRISIS IN RIVERS

Embattled Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nathaniel Iringeri has condemned the killing of 2 persons in Wakama Community, following an attack by armed youths from a neighbouring community.
Mr.  Iringeri made the condemnation while confirming that an Anglican cleric and a 9 year old boy were killed in Wakama Community on Wednesday Morning  when armed youths suspected to be from Khorghor Community in Tai Local Government Area of the State allegedly invaded the area shooting sporadically.
He called on Security Agencies to fish out those behind the attack, saying it is happening at a time the Local Government Authority is making efforts to resolve all forms of inter-communal clashes in the area.
Nathaniel Iringeri, who is in court along with other chairmen to protect their electoral mandate allegedly secured against a court order, appealed to people of Wakama Community not to take laws into their hands as a result of the attack, promising to prioritize security of lives and property in the area to avoid  another attack.
