Wike the Corner Stone of PDP, Port Harcourt to be the hub of PDP's activities- David Mark
The Outgoing President of the 7th Senate, HE Senator David Mark has hailed the Governor of Rivers state, HE, Chief Barr N. E. Wike (CON) for his immeasurable contributions to the Peoples Democratic Party, the PDP and addressed him as the "Corner Stone" of the party
The distinguished Senator made the assertion at the Thanksgiving Service held at the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt yesterday,31st May, 2015.
In appreciation of the mass support base enjoyed by PDP in Rivers state, the Senate President stated that the city of Port Harcourt shall host most activities of the party as henceforth the Rivers state capital is earmarked as the hub of PDP activities starting with the one Day National Retreat for PDP Senators-elect holding in Port Harcourt today Monday 1st June, 2015.
The retreat is expected to equip the National Assembly members- to- be of their new role as opposition party in the present dispensation while assuring party members and supporters that PDP will bounce back in the next four years to reclaim the office of the President of Nigeria comes 2019.
Governor Wike is assuming even a greater responsibility in the Country. The opposition party now sees him as the Conner stone for their recapturing of the center.
